Hi Girls, Thank you to everyone who sent in their recipes and photos of their baking last week. It made me very hungry seeing all the delicious treats you were making! Have a look at our ‘gallery’ section to see your classmates’ recipes. I was amazed at the effort that you put in. It's lovely to see all the different styles of presentation. If you didn't get round to sending in a recipe yet, and would still like to do so, it's not too late! This week, we are continuing with your regular learning homework and English, Irish and Maths activities daily. We are moving onto a new SESE topic; The Famine. We will be learning lots about it over the next few weeks. This week is just an introduction to the topic, and we have short activities for you to do each day. We ask you to make a KWL chart (or print/copy the one we provide) so that you can use this to keep track of all the new facts you will learn about The Famine. KWL stands for: K(what I already know), W(what I want to know) and L(what I have learned). This week, we would like you to email us:
Remember, your parents can email us if you have any questions about your work, if you need some help, or if you want to show us any of the work that you have been doing. We love hearing about how you’re getting on! Best of luck with your activities this week, we hope you are enjoying them! Stay safe, Ms McManus P.S. You girls are so creative. I received some more pictures of your creativity at home and added these to the gallery. Neha did a plant project based on the herbs that were growing in her back garden. She got the inspiration from Homeschool Hub. Diya and her mum are growing strawberry plants and the first little strawberries have started to appear. Katie and her sister Cara made Mary Berry's Heavenly Chocolate Cake and I must say that it looks very tempting. If there's anything that you're up to at home, send it in, and I'll add it to the gallery.
