Hello Girls! I would like to thank you for sending me on some lovely emails last week. Some of you wrote to tell me about all the lovely things you've been doing while you've been at home. A couple of you sent in pictures of some Easter art that you did, and I've put those on our gallery page. Katie's very funny story 'Penny the Prankster' was read aloud on Storytime with Mr Read . Check it out here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozTTFJMVKn4 I know that there are a lot more creative writers in my class, so if you send a story in, make sure too let me know. We'd all love to hear it! I would really recommend for you to watch Homeschool Hub if you can. Here is an outline of some of the topics they will be covering this week for 5th class; Monday-how to make lava lamps, Tuesday-The Normans, Wednesday-Music, Thursday- Art, and Friday-Flora and Fauna of your local area. Please find the homework for the week ahead laid out below. This week, I'd like you to email me;
Finally, I emailed your parents a booklet about wellbeing. There are some lovely pages in it which focuses on the positive things in our lives. Your parents can print it out, and you can work on it at your own pace. I'll also be uploading some pictures of the booklet on the blog here each week, for any of you who don't have printing facilities. You could use the ideas from the pages to make a little diary/journal. If you register to the following websites you can access the little maths videos I've linked below. Registering is free during this time. They're not essential viewing but you will find them helpful. To register on https://www.folensonline.ie/

Well done on completing your work for the week. Self-check against the answers below and see how you got on. Remember, if there's any questions you'd like to ask me, ask your parents if you can send me an email. I'll post some more work on Monday. Have a lovely weekend. Hello girls! Hope you all had a lovely Easter. As before, I'll put up the homework here for the week ahead. There are Maths, English and Gaeilge activities, for each day. There's also some extra maths work at the end should anybody be looking for 'more'. I sent an email to your parents to see how you're getting on with the work. I'd like you to send me in the Wednesday maths homework from your parent's email. The sheet needed to complete the activity has been sent to your parent. I managed to take the strawberry plants home with me. It turns out that you all have 'green fingers'! There are some flowers coming on some of them, which means we should have some strawberries soon. I've put some pictures of them in the gallery. If you did some of the Easter dioramas, ask your parents if you can send me a photo of it to my email and I'll put those in the gallery too. I think there might be one or two girls in the class who's parents had not provided the school with an email address. If this is so, ask your Mam or Dad to email me at [email protected] and I'll send you on the sheets you need. Please note that any contact made with teacher must be through a parents email. I sent an email to parents this morning 20th April at 9am. Some parents have contacted me to say the email arrived in their junkmail. So maybe have a check in there. If you didn't receive any email, please email me at the address above, and I'll be happy to send it again. Monday
